Hooray, TV game-show production is on the rise again in the Big Apple. "The $20,000
Pyramid", once a longtime local staple (it went off the air last June), is coming back. This
time it's called "The $50,000 Pyramid". Inflation, of course. It starts Monday, Jan. 26,
and will be seen weekdays, 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Channel 11, following "Hollywood Squares."

The series again will be broadcast from ABC's studio on W. 58th St., with Dick Clark as the
host again. It will be produced by Bob Stewart, who originated the series almost a decade
ago. Mike Gargiulo will be back as the director, with Edit Chan serving as the contestant
coordinator. "It'll be the same show but with a bigger jackpot," said Chan.

"20,000 Pyramid," on CBS for seven-and-a-half years before moving to ABC, was later
sold into syndicationas a prime-time access series, renamed "The $25,000 Pyramid."
It was considered one of televisions more intelligent game shows.

Tapings start Jan 11. For tickets, write to:
ABC's Guest Relations, 36A W. 66th St., New York, NY 10023.

The only other game show series airing from New York is channel 7's "To Tell
The Truth", which tapes every other Thursday at NBC's Studio 6A in Rockefeller Plaza.
