RANDOM NOTE:
"RUCK ZUCK" WAS BASED ON THE SHORT LIVED AMERICAN SHOW "HOT STREAK", LASTING ONLY A SHORT 65 EPISODES!

Many of you probably never even heard of "Ruck Zuck", but allow me to tell you that this is quite a game! This German edition of the original "Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak", lasted thousands of episodes longer than the USA run. On the air since 1988, Ruck Zuck has gone on to become one of the most popular German game shows ever. Three networks and two hosts later, the show still is a big success among its local residents.

When Ruck Zuck first came on the air in 1988, the set was the exact set that was used in the American version. As the years went on, Ruck Zuck updated its set to a more sophisticated and classy look, even with its incredible speed, and still, its witty humour. Even if you don't understand the German language, some things are just universal in any language! Add a cool host like Jochen Bendel, and you get the same combination that the US version of the show had, but now, viewers actually apprechiated it!

However, Ruck Zuck did however offer one unique twist to the game, and that was its "tournament" factor. In order to win the really big bucks, you have to appear on the show for a few days. (Those Germans really know how to have a good competition, don't they?) I knew you'd agree!

On SuperShow 8000, you can learn a little bit about the history of the show (and it's numberous channel and host changes), view some pictures from the series, take a look at some "behind the scenes" pictures, as well as shots from the computer that produced the on-screen graphics, and even learn about "Kinder Ruck Zuck", the short lived, and equally challenging children's version of the show! (And I'll say, the kids played it very well).
