The show consists of two different styles of rounds. Two "big board" rounds, and a single question round. The big board rounds took place at the beginning and the end of the game, and the question round was in between. The first big board round starts the three players with $1000 and unlimited spins. They alternate taking spins on a large board with prizes on it, as well as cash values as high as $1500, until a player decides to freeze at their total, or hits a Whammy. Once you hit a Whammy, you lose all of your money, earn a Whammy in your total, and you are out of the first round of gameplay. After that round, there is a question round where host Todd Newton will ask the contestants general knowledge questions. The player buzzes in at any time and gives and answer, then that answer and 2 new possible answers are given to the remaining players. If they answer right, they earn one spin. If you buzzed in with the right answer, you get 3 spins. There are 5 questions asked in this round, which gives you a total of 15 possible spins. The contestants take their spins to round 3, where the money is really hit. The player with the most money from the first round goes last in the final round. The player with the least amount goes first. In the event of a tie, the player with the least number of spins goes first. If that is tied as well, the player to the left starts the game. The top cash prize on the board now is $5000 and an extra spin. The contestants play until they want to stop, or run out of spins. In the event that they hit a Whammy, they lose all their money. Four Whammies, like the original, take you out of the game. In the event that a player hits a "double whammy" in the second round, they only get one whammy added to their total, however, aside from the Whammy animation playing on the screen, a live action event will happen as well. (For instance, the Whammy will be cutting grass and the player gets grass dumped on them.) Double Whammies and "normal" ones appear in round 2. The player that wins the most in cash and prizes wins everything and takes it home. Bare in mind, that there are no returning champions on Whammy. |
